Our Mission Statement
As the Community of faith of St. Edward Parish, we are the visible signs of Christ's love and mercy in our neighborhood and community. Blessed by racial, ethnic, and cultural diversity, we share a common faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
As Christians, we realize that we must bring Christ's presence to the world through every action of our daily lives. We are dedicated to promoting evangelization, racial and ethnic harmony, and to bring our members closer to God. We are called to share the teachings of Christ, to love and serve one another, and to promote peace and justice to our troubled world.
Like Christ, we are a people willing to take risks. We call one another to greatness and holiness. As a worshipping community in the Catholic tradition, we believe that the sacrifice of the Mass, which brings Christ Incarnate among us, is central to our existence. Celebrating Eucharist together strengthens us and enables us to carry out our baptismal responsibility to bring the Good News of salvation to the world.
Guided by the love of God, and with the help of the Holy Spirit, we are committed to spiritual growth, education and service, which are the building blocks of a faith community.
We, the people of St. Edward Parish, pray together, play together, work together, and grieve together, striving in our own way to fulfill Jesus' dream "that all may be one."
